Oakhaven Hospice is a very special place caring for people with a range of serious illnesses in the Lymington area. We have a long association with the hospice and each year pupils in year 2 complete a four-week project there. During the Acorn Project, they work closely with the outpatients exploring and sharing their memories, illness, laughter and love. Each year we are amazed and extremely proud of the children we take. Despite being so young, they show enormous maturity, care and compassion to others whilst deepening their own emotional well-being and understanding. The Acorn Project symbolises all of our core aims and leaves a lasting impact on all of the learners, outpatient partners, parents and volunteers who participate.
