Music at South Baddesley
Music has always been an important aspect of the South Baddesley curriculum. We particularly value the use of singing to teach children different music traditions, styles of composition and to engage in up-lifting community activities. Music lessons are planned by class teachers and complimented by whole school singing assemblies. We currently have two school choirs. Children are given various opportunities to perform, school worship, end of term services, whole school productions and the KS2 music concert. Whenever possible we enrich the musical experience the children receive through visitors to assembly or through participation in Hampshire Music Service.
Children are invited to learn a variety of musical instruments and some funding is available for these lessons.
Currently children can learn:
a variety of woodwind instruments,
violin or guitar,
piano, or join
Rock School
