The Curriculum at South Baddesley CE Primary School
The curriculum at South Baddesley provides children with a rich balance of subjects and activities. It is unique in the way it reflects the needs of our children’s academic and personal development, the distinctive nature of being a church school and the school’s special location.
Set within the New Forest we make the most of our connections with the natural world, helping our children to understand the importance of looking after the world we live in as well as using the many opportunities for hands-on learning provided by the outdoors.
Our Christian values of Respect and Trust, Courage and Perseverance and Thankfulness and Peace are the foundations of everything we do. The integration of these values into the curriculum strongly supports children’s social, personal and emotional development. Helping children to become confident, tolerant individuals who make a positive contribution to both their immediate and wider communities is part of our core focus.
We plan for our curriculum to be the start of life-long learning that prepares and enables children to live happily and successfully with an understanding of modern British values.
