We want to work closely with parents to help children develop a positive attitude towards learning. Children will learn more effectively in school when they are supported at home by family and friends that take an interest in their school and schoolwork.
Here are some ways in which you can support your child:
Understand class homework expectations
These are the homework expectations for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2:
Read regularly
Read with your child at home as often as possible as fluent reading will aid progress in all subjects.
Log into Google Classroom
Teachers will share homework with the class through our online platform, Google Classroom, which can be accessed from any device connected to the internet. Please click here for a quick introduction to Google Classroom and how to get started.
Make use of our Home Learning apps
We have access to a number of apps to support children and families at home in a simple and responsive way. The apps have been chosen for the adaptive and/or systematic support they provide and should be used in short, snappy bursts to augment children’s learning in school.
