Who we are

We are a small primary school, fortunate to be set in incredible grounds as part of the Pylewell Estate. This means that our daily learning and play is enhanced by the heritage and natural world that belongs to our little patch of… specialness. Children come to us from Lymington, the surrounding area and sometimes further afield as they enjoy the ‘family feel’ of our village school. We have a school minibus shuttle which is available to families in East Boldre..

If you haven’t already visited, please do take time to explore our website and get in contact with our team who would be happy to help.

  • wisdom

  • curiosity

  • innovation

  • excellence

This focus and purpose allows all individuals the opportunities, independence and self-efficacy to: 'STRIVE and BELIEVE to SHINE.'

Headteacher’s welcome

At South Baddesley, we believe that education should be an extraordinary journey. It is about more than just academic success—it is about growing the "whole child" within an environment that feels like family. I truly believe our school is a place where nurture meets opportunity, ensuring every child achieves their academic potential while feeling safe, valued, and inspired to explore the world around them.

We pride ourselves on being a community where identity matters. Here, children don’t just attend school—they belong. I am deeply passionate about championing the voice of every pupil through a child-centered, inclusive atmosphere. We help every child to have the confidence to be their authentic self and the support they need to truly ‘shine.’

While the world around us changes rapidly, we believe that childhood remains precious. We take the time to nurture strong foundations built on caring, reciprocal relationships; quite simply, people are at the heart of everything we do at SBS.

Though we cherish tradition and connection, we remain forward-facing—pioneers of excellence in a changing world. As a team, we have worked tirelessly to make our school unique. We are incredibly proud of our thriving Nursery, school farm, our vibrant After School provision, and our most recent innovation: our very own bespoke catering service.

For us, there are no limits—only a relentless drive to be the best we can be for the children we have the privilege of educating.

We would love to share our school with you. I invite you to explore these pages to get a sense of our spirit, and then book an appointment to visit us in person. We look forward to welcoming you.

Warm regards,

Anne Moir
