Meet our governors
Mr Ed Carrell - Chair of Governors and Local Authority Appointed Governor
Ed is a co-opted governor and sits on the Finance and Pay Committees. He is the chair of the Resources Committee. Ed was re-elected in 2022 and his term ends on 22nd May 2030.
Peter Troup - Associative Governor
Peter has a long-standing relationship with our school, serving both as a parent and a Governor. He successfully led the SBS Governing Body for ten years as Chair of the Board. Currently, he has returned for a fixed term as an Associate Governor, primarily to use his extensive knowledge to assist in the recruitment and induction of new Governors to our Board.
Mr Stephen Bennett
Stephen joins the Governors as Foundation/Diocesan Appointed Governor. He was elected 3 February 2026.
Mrs Anne Moir
Anne sits on all of the Governor Committees since her appointment as Headteacher in 2014.
Mrs Claire Holly
Claire is a co-opted governor and sits on the Staff and Pupil Wellbeing, Provisions, Safeguarding and Head Teacher Performance Committees. She was elected in 2020 and her term ends on 12th October 2024.
Mrs Siobhan Mulcahy
Siobhan is a co-opted governor and sits on the Provisions Committee. She was elected to the Governing Body in 2023 and her term ends on 11th July 2027.
Mrs Rachel Prophet
Rachel is a foundation governor and sits on the Staff and Pupil Wellbeing and Safeguarding Committees. She joined the Governing Body in 2023 and her term ends on 17th October 2027.
Barney Miller
Associate Governor. Barney joined the governing body in June 2026.
Lisa Townsend
Parent Governor. Lisa joined the governing body in March 2025 and her term ends 3 March 2029. Lisa sits on the Pay panel and is a Forum Representative.
Suzanne Ashworth
Associate Governor. Suzanne joined the governing body in June 2026.
Carol Douglas
Associate Governor. Carol joined the governing body in June 2026.
Helen Thompson
Helen is the Local Authority Clerk.
