Moments of wonder in Early Years at South Baddesley CE Primary School

Why are we called Gruffalo?

The Gruffalo appears to be different from others; on the outside, he is big and maybe a bit fierce looking but on the inside he is kind and gentle. We help children learn to care for each of us for who we are, not what we look like. Through our curriculum we explore what true friendship is like and how we can be a good friend to others. We look at the concept of ‘value’ and consider how we value others. As a church school, we know that God truly knows us each of us and loves us for who we are.

What are our hopes and dreams?

In Gruffalo Class we hope to see sunshine everyday!

We dream of being stars (and rabbits and cheetahs).

What makes Gruffalo Class 2024-25 special?

Each year, our classes take time to reflect on what makes them unique and special. Our Gruffalo children are starting to get to know each other and beginning to build their identity in a new class community. As soon as the children are ready, we’ll add their ideas here.
